The Kasese Cobalt Company Limited (KCCL) is a project which produces high grade cobalt (99.9%) by bio chemically treating stock piles of pyrite deposited as tailings of Kilembe Copper Mine, in Uganda, Africa.
The operation consists of a process plant in Kasese, a 9.9MW hydro power station at Mubuku and a limestone quarry at Hima.
